"Dionysos" is a wonderful handheld kaleidoscope by Charles Karadimos. This scope body is Verrerie de Saint-Just mouth blown glass from France that has been slumped and sculpted into a cone shape. It has a turning end, end-lit, dry object chamber that is filled with hand selected glass, dry filled ampules, and other glittery bits. The object cell background is the same glass used for the body which softens the background of each image This scope has a tapered 2-mirror system and creates beautiful 9-point images. This scope measures 9-3/4"T x 2-5/8" in diameter at the object cell end. The scope is signed (CS Karadimos), dated (2023) and numbered (2/6) by the artist.
