"Quilt Series - Kayak" is a glass parlor kaleidoscope by Allison Borgschulte. This is a fused glass scope featuring a 1-5/8" diameter, handmade marble from Brett Young and Larry Zengel of 'Hot House Glass'. This scope was designed to coordinate with the marble and the artist named this piece "Quilt Series - Kayak" because she felt the imagery created with the marble resembled the repeating blocks of a quilt pattern. Allison used this quilt block design, titled "Kayak", to create the fused glass design for the sides of this kaleidoscope. Scope has a 3-mirror system and measures approximately 9-1/2"L x 7-1/2"T x 4" in diameter.
