"Aquarium" is a dreamy handheld kaleidoscope by Japanese artist Kikuyo Kataoka. The body is made with swirling, watery, blue stained glass panels that have an iridescent flash as you turn it in your hand, with oxidized solder work that is beautifully and delicately detailed. This is a 3-mirror system with a non-turning, oil-filled, black background object cell containing tiny, elegant, handmade glasswork pieces which produce crisp and highly detailed kaleidoscopic imagery. Scope measures approximately 6.5" T x 2"Diameter at the cell end. Signed G.J. (GlassJam) by the artist.
