'Berube Wood Teleidoscope (SML)' is a fun handheld teleidoscope by American artist Peter Berube. The body is constructed with stacked layers of wood that are then carved on a lathe into a delightful fluted shape which shows off the wood layers and colors in a lovely pattern/design. The object end has a completely clear sphere and when you look into the viewing end through the internal 3-mirror system, no matter what you point this scope at, it will magically turn into a spectacular kaleidoscopic image. Teleidoscopes create kaleidoscopic imagery of whatever you look at through them, as opposed to kaleidoscopes in which the artist adds something colorful at one end for you to observe. Measures approximately 5"L x 2"Diameter at the object sphere end. Initialed (PB) by the artist and includes a wooden stand. As these are each handmade with natural materials variations in woodgrain/colors can be expected.
