'Butterflies' - Blue, is a gorgeous handheld kaleidoscope by Japanese artist and scope master Yasuko Nakazato. The body was created with two pieces of blue slumped glass with a cut-out butterfly design which reveals another layer of swirling iridescent glass showing as the butterfly's wings. The turning, oil-filled, front-lit, custom made object cylinder is unique in that it is split into two halves, horizontally. One half contains polarized materials which shift in color depending on the angle your light source hits them, the other half is filled with beautiful handcrafted lampwork glass bits and pieces in gorgeous colors. Looking through the scope's 3-mirror system and into the custom, double-layer cylinder you will see truly incredible kaleidoscopic imagery. Measures approximately 7.25"L x 3.25"W at the object end and is signed by the artist (Yasuko).
