"Chateau" is an elegant handheld kaleidoscope by Japanese artist Mizue Tatekawa. The body was constructed with six white glass panels that have an iridescent rainbow sheen with has highly oxidized soldering for a bold contrast to the bright white panels. This is a 2-mirror, 6-point system with a non-turning, black background, oil-filled, object cell containing handmade glasswork pieces in super vivid colors, encased behind six textured dichroic (color shifting) glass panels. The mandala-style, kaleidoscopic imagery this scope creates are absolutely sublime. I shot countless gorgeous internal photos and had difficulty choosing which to include in the listing. Scope measures approximately 5.25"T x 2"W at the viewing end. NOTE: The last two internal photos in this listing show the image unchanged but the light source has moved instead, causing the imagery to look different in color, like magic!
