"Circle" is a modern and mysterious little kaleidoscope by Japanese artist Tomoo Hosono. The body is a brushed stainless steel cylinder with a dry, end-lit, non-turning, internal object cell with a frosted glass background, and contains slices of birefringence (light reactive) material. This scope houses a unique mirror system which creates brilliant, colorful "circular" kaleidoscopic imagery. I noticed as I shot these pretty internal images there is a slight resemblance to the solar flares our Sun produces. Measures approximately 2.5"L x 1" in diameter and is signed by the artist.
