"Cumos Diamond" is a handheld kaleidoscope by Japanese artist Minori Yamazaki. The name "Cumos" comes from a combination of 'Cube' and 'Cosmos' and it means universe inside a box. Minori Yamazaki designed these scopes around 1980 and they can be described as a polyhedral, closed box kaleidoscope. The body is a white plastic cube with a veiwing hole on one corner. The imagery inside is increadibly delicate and multi-dimensional. Scope measures approximately 3-1/8" x 3-1/8" x 3-1/8" and is signed (Minori Yamazaki), named (Cumos Diamond) and dated (2023.10.31) by the artist.
