"Custom - One of a Kind" is an absolutely STUNNING parlor kaleidoscope by American artists Randy & Shelley Knapp. The body was exquisitely constructed from gorgeous Big Leaf Maple Burl and Zebra woods. There is an internal, turning, dry object chamber containing handcrafted lampwork glass pieces with a 2-mirror, 6-point system. Light enters the scope through a frosted glass 'porthole' window at the top of the piece, and the visuals change by slowly turning the 'propeller' at the front end of the scope, creating fantastic 'mandala-style' kaleidoscopic imagery. Piece measures approximately 15.5"T x 16"L x 9"W at the base. Signed (Randy & Shelly Knapp) and dated (2000) by the artists.
