The "Eye of Providence" (a symbol of divine guidance, omniscience, and cosmic order) is a small and mysterious parlor kaleidoscope by American artist Steve Failows. The metal scope body has been covered in embossed black leather, houses a 3-mirror system, and has been mounted (non-swivel) onto a solid piece of black onyx that has been carved into a 3-D 'Eye of Providence' with a noble raven perched on top. The onyx has been mounted onto a gorgeous piece of glass that has a textured pattern on it's reverse side. There are TWO spinning object wheels created from various different (colored/textured/painted/dichroic) stained glass pieces, just give them a slow spin to see the magical kaleidoscopic imagery change before your eye. Note: if your move a light source (such as a flashlight) around the wheels without actually turning them, the design will still change and shift as the dichroic glass pieces have literal color-shifting magical properties! This fantastic little one of a kind piece measures approximately 7"T x 4.25"W x 5"D at the base, the scope itself is about 6.5"L x 1.5"Diameter at the viewing end, the largest color wheel is 3.25"Diameter. Scope is initialed by the artist.
