"Fairy Flower" is a spectacular handheld kaleidoscopes by Japanese metal artist MIKKS. The body is made with stained glass panels that are accented with fancy solder work. The viewing port, lens dust-cap (with a pretty enameled flower on it), and flower petal base/stand all have been created in brushed, raw brass. This is a 3-mirror system with a glass, non-turning, dry object cell which contains handmade, glasswork bits and pieces. The kaleidoscopic imagery this scope produces is absolutely stunning. The Entire piece measures approximately 9"T x 8.5" in Diameter and the scope itself is about 8.5"T x 3.5" at its widest point.
*In 2018, Mikks encountered a kaleidoscope and was fascinated by it. He is still thinking and searching every day for ways to create a kaleidoscope that makes use of his metal engraving skills. He won the Grand Prize at the 2nd "Kaleidoscope National Open Exhibition" in 2021.
