'Firecracker' is an exciting handheld kaleidoscope by American artist Sue Rioux. The body was created with red/orange swirled stained glass panels and decorative black glass rods with a gorgeous glass pebble accent on top. There is a turning, oil-filled, glass object cylinder containing assorted glass beads, coiled wire pieces, dichroic (color-shifting) glass slices, millefiori glass slices, and other sparkly bits. This is a 2-mirror, 5-point system, and the scope makes fiery "mandala-style" kaleidoscopic imagery with a bright red 10-sided frame. Piece measures approximately 9.5"L x 3"T x 4.25"W at the cell, including the turning knobs. Signed (Sue Rioux) and dated (2026) by the artist.
