"Gearhead" is a stunning, handcrafted Maple and Walnut parlor kaleidoscope by woodworking master, Benjamin Birdsill. This Kaleidoscope features a turning, oil-filled object cell containing colorful glassworked bits and pieces with a black background, a unique 3-mirror system, and includes an attached little spotlight to give the viewer a more brightly illuminated experience. Scope also includes a wooden plug, chained to the scope, which is designed to keep dust out of the eyepiece. Absolutely gorgeous woodworking on this beautiful kaleidoscope, and turning the object cell by a crank on the gears is very satisfying while viewing the stunning internal imagery it creates.
