"Inspiration Art" is a OOAK (One of a kind - collectors alert!), industrial style parlor kaleidoscope by American artists Peter and Skeeter DeMattia. This wicked cool scope is was created from abandoned car parts and steel. The enclosed object chamber has a decorative red glass panel (which glows when light is switched on) and houses a spinning object drum that is covered in bits of colorful lampwork glass and dichroic (color shifting) glass pieces. Featured with this scope are five slides, made from metal, glass, and a circuit board. Just like a microscope uses, the slides slip into the scope and alter the kaleidoscopic imagery as you move them gently back and forth, super fun! Scope is a traditional "mandala style" 2-mirror, 8-point system and has an internal light to illuminate the object drum, power cord included. Piece measures approximately 15.25"T x 6"W, 8"Diameter at the base, 10"Long object barrel from knob to knob, and the slides are about 7"W x 2.5"T. Signed (S|P) by the artists.
