"Mariposa" is a gorgeous parlor kaleidoscope by American artist Sue Rioux. The body was created with swirling stained glass panels and features a beautiful, textured iridescent glass butterfly with copper filigree detailing on its wings. The body houses TWO systems, both a 2-mirror (mandala-style) and 3-mirror, so you'll get two kaleidoscopes in one very pretty scope! The spinning object barrel is highly adorned with dichroic glass slices, fused glass pieces, colorful pebble glass, and iridescent pressed glass pieces. All of these together create bright and marvelous kaleidoscopic imagery. Piece measures approximately 9.75"L x 5.5"T and 1.5"W. Titled ("Mariposa"), dated (2025), and signed (Sue Rioux) by the artist.
