Product Details

"Minaret II" is a darling handheld kaleidoscope by Japanese artist Mizue Tatekawa. The body was constructed with four, dark green, glass panels that have a glittery sheen with a golden, round, decorative filigree accent on the front panel. This is a 2-mirror, 8-point system with a dry, non-turning, black background object cell containing handmade glasswork pieces, and is encased behind 4 textured dichroic (color-shifting) small glass panels. The beautiful, mandala-style, kaleidoscopic imagery this scope creates is enhanced by a third, textured glass, interior panel. Note: if you move a light source at different angles, through the various dichroic glass panels and into the object cell, the rainbow colors created will shift and change before your eyes, even without turning the cell at all. This sweet scope measures approximately 5.75"T x 1.25"W at the viewing end.
