"Mirror In The Mirror" is a fun little cube kaleidoscope by Japanese artist Akinori Nakamura. The body was created with magnificent, iridescent, black rainbow stained glass panels. Light enters through the bottom panel, which is clear, textured, iridescent glass. What makes these cube scopes so unusual is, not only do they show repeating patterns while looking inside, there is also a stained glass color wheel that produces marvelous MOVING patterns and shapes inside the piece! Another cool feature I discovered is (if the lighting is just right) in the center, dark circle of the imagery, you can see your own eye looking all around the mysterious interior of the box. Still photos do no justice to how cool this interactive scope is. "Mirror In The Mirror" was created in three different interior styles; Circles, Squares, OR Confetti. Measures approximately 3.75"T x 2.75"Square. Signed (A2N) and dated (2025) by the artist.
NOTE: The "pastel" internal images I shot by giving the color wheel a super fast spin and then taking the photo, so many fun ways to play with this piece!
