- "Monster Of Frankenstein" is a cool double parlor kaleidoscope by Japanese artist, Sumiko Watanabe. Monster's wooden head houses a 2-mirror, 6-point scope and a 3-mirror, 13-point scope. For the 2-mirror scope, look into the back of his head and turn his right eye, which is a dry object cell containing little gears, screws, handmade glasswork bits and pieces, and other interesting robot items. The 3-mirror scope is viewed by looking into the top of his head, spinning his neck bolt, which is also a dry cell, containing even more delightful bits and goodies for robot thinking. This guy has a self contained, battery (3- AA) operated, lighting system to illuminate the internal object cell, accessed through a panel at the rear of his head. The head also rotates completely around on the rectangle base of the piece. This entire work of art measures approximately 12.5" Tall with the base at 9"W x 7"D. This is a very limited edition piece.
