'Oval' is a striking handheld kaleidoscope by esteemed Japanese artist Yasuko Nakazato. The sturdy body was created in brushed steel with scrollwork detailing on the viewing and object end caps. Internally, a 3-mirror system featuring a ribbed glass column creates a fan-like image in the viewing area. The glass object cylinder is turning, oil-filled, and contains Yasuko's lovely handmade lampwork glass pieces and an assortment of interesting bits, depending on which version of the scope you choose. The gorgeous, ever fanning, kaleidoscopic imagery created in this little scope will delight anyone lucky enough to take a peek inside. Measures approximately 5.5"L x 1.5"W x 1"T and the object cylinder is about 2.75"L. Signed (Yasuko.) by the artist.
