"Paula's Tapestry" is a glorious parlor kaleidoscope by American artists Peggy and Steve Kittelson. Inspired by a handmade quilt by artist Paula Nadelstern as seen in her book titled 'Kaleidoscope Quilts'. The Kittelson's created the body of this scope from black slumped glass that features fused gold, silver, and palladium foil in it's glossy surface, resembling the fabric Paula chose as the basis for her creative process. The scope body houses a 2-mirror, 7-point system and has a turning, side lit, black background, oil-filled object cell containing Peggy's own handmade lampwork and dichroic glass pieces. The scope body is mounted to a custom made wooden base. The spectacular kaleidoscopic imagery produced will not disappoint, it is dazzling. Measures approximately 11.75"T x 11.5"D x 4.25"W and the scope is 2.75"Diameter at the viewing end. Titled (Paula's Tapestry), dated (2025), and signed (Peggy & Steve Kittelson) by the artists.
