'Sapphire' is a gorgeous handheld kaleidoscope by American artist Sue Rioux. The body was created with rainbow iridescent blue stained glass panels, decorative blue glass rods, an iridescent glass pebble accent, and copper soldering. The body houses a 3-mirror system which creates gorgeous kaleidoscopic imagery. There is a turning, oil-filled object cylinder containing dichroic (color shifting) glass pieces, assorted colorful glass beads, bits of lampwork glass, and other interesting items. Measures approximately 6.75"L x 2"T x 1.75"W and the object cylinder is about 2.5"L. Titled (Sapphire), dated, and signed (Sue Rioux) by the artist.
Note: To get the full effect of dichroic glass, move a light source around the object cylinder while spinning it for extra WOWS!
