"Stargazer" (COLLECTORS ALERT 1998) is an elegant parlor scope by British artist and kaleidoscope master, Marc Tickle. The body was created with textured glass, "bubble illusion" dichroic glass, and each large side panel features Marc's own hand painted, alcohol-ink art beneath the clear glass. There is a triangular viewing port at the top of the piece which gives a lovely wide view of the kaleidoscopic imagery this incredible piece creates. The "star" you're gazing upon appears to float mid tunnel, as it changes with every turn of the object wheel. The wheel itself is made from that beautiful "bubble" dichroic glass, it is dry, turning, and contains Marc's handmade, lampworked glass pieces, ampules filled with colored water, and assorted glass beads. This is a modified 2-mirror, 7-point system. Entire piece measures approximately 8.5"T x 1.5"W x 10"Deep, the object wheel is 3" in Diameter. This one is a DAZZLER, don't let it slip away.
