"Sunflower" is a lovely handheld kaleidoscope by American artist Sue Rioux. The body was created with baby blue stained glass panels with decorative orange glass rods, and a gorgeous glass pebble accent on top. There is a turning, oil-filled, glass object cylinder that contains assorted glass beads, coiled wire pieces, and dichroic (color-shifting) glass slices, and other sparkly bits. Sue has created a fantastic special effect by covering the 3rd side of the internal mirrors with a narrow image of sunflowers, creating a glowing tunnel of sunflowers agains a blue background. The body houses a 2-mirror, 4-point system with an octagon frame. Measures approximately 8.25"L x 3"T x 4.75"W at the cell, including the turning knobs. Signed (Sue Rioux) and dated (2024) by the artist.
