'Tender Dreams' is a (RARE COLLECTOR'S ALERT!) vintage parlor kaleidoscope by American artists Dick and Jeffrey Wear. The train style body was completely custom created from solid brass by the father - son duo. The engine car features pretty dichroic glass windows, pulls a car for holding the spare object wheels when not in use, and houses a 2-mirror, 8-point system. Scope wheels are illuminated by 3 lights that run on DC wall outlet power, cord is attached to the underside of the base. There are 6 different object/color wheels to choose from, they can be combined in many different configurations to create an almost infinite assortment of gorgeous kaleidoscopic imagery. This scope is the first of only five created and is extremely rare and will be an absolutely magnificent addition to any serious collectors collection. Piece measures approximately 28"L x 8"W at the wood base and is 9.75"T to the top of the smoke stack. This magnificent work of art is very heavy and structurally sound, titled (Tender Dreams), numbered (001/005) and signed (Dick Wear, Jeffery R. Wear) by the artists. The year is unknown but most likely was created in the 1990's.
Note: One of the color wheels has cracked stained glass pieces but this doesn't effect the enjoyment of the visuals the wheel produces, it actually looks pretty cool.
