"True Colors" are sweet little handheld kaleidoscopes by Japanese artist Hiroshi Wakabayashi. Available in a small or medium size, the body is made from a metal cylinder and features shimmery gold poly clay with embedded semi-precious gemstone accents. The object cell is dry, non turning, front and side-lit, and contains what appears to be clear pieces of film, tube beads, and teeny tiny round beads but these are reactive to a polarized filter inside the scope which causes the pieces to magically become vibrant rainbow colors that will literally shift colors if you move a light source at differing angles in front of the cell! Each scope houses a 2-mirror, 4-point system and creates magnificent rainbow infused kaleidoscopic imagery. Scopes measure approximately 5.75"L Medium, and 3.75"L Small. Each scope is handmade by the artist so slight variations in the design may occur.
