"Twinkle" is an interesting handheld kaleidoscope by artist Bob Ade. The body is made of solid white slumped glass with four dichroic glass 'stars' encrusted on it's surface. This is a front lit, turning, dry object chamber filled with handmade glasswork pieces in soft colors, dichroic glass bits, frosted glass beads and has a transparent, textured glass background. This scope contains a unique mirror system which gives a dazzling, four-sided star effect. I also noticed that when the light source is extra bright, lovely "moons" can be seen along the internal horizon, very cool. This collectors scope measures approximately 9.5"L x 2.25" diameter at the cell end and includes a stand. Titled ("TWINKLE"), numbered (#11/50), signed (Ade), and dated (2005) by the artist.
