'Yumezakura', Japanese for "Dream Cherry Blossom", is an absolutely breathtaking handheld kaleidoscope by Japanese artist Chiyuki Kagawa. The body is constructed of 12 tapered panels of glass with bright pastel pink/green art paper set beneath them, with oxidized fancy solder. This is a 2-mirror, 5-point system and there is a non-turning, oil-filled, side lit, black background, glass object cell containing the most intricately delicate lampwork glass pieces and extremely sparkly faceted crystal gemstones. Together all of these components create unbelievably magical and flowery "mandala-style" kaleidoscopic imagery. Try it in direct sunlight for extra big “WOWs”!
