'Archidichroic' is a gorgeous VINTAGE parlor kaleidoscope by American artists Judith Paul & Tom Durden. The body is made with a black powder-coated metal cylinder, which fully pivots/rotates over the base, which was created from four brilliantly shiny, highly textured, iridescent glass panels, framed in black metal. The body houses a 3-mirror, 5-point system and there is a turning, oil-filled, front/side-lit object cell containing green and blue assorted beads & baubles and Dichroic (color shifting) glass pieces. This scope creates MAGNIFICENT, full-color spectrum, "mandala-style" kaleidoscopic imagery that will delight anyone that gazes into it. Try using different light sources (LED, UV Black light) and you'll see the dichroic glass shift and change colors, like magic! Piece measures approximately 12.25"T x 4.75"Square at the bottom of the base, 8.75"L x 3.75"Diameter for the scope itself, and the object cell is 2.75"Diameter. Numbered (8/25) and signed by the artists.
