'Blue Moon' is a gorgeous handheld kaleidoscope by American artist Sue Rioux. The body was created with glossy cobalt blue stained glass panels, accented with periwinkle blue glass rods and features a delightful iridescent glass "moon face" accent on each side. The turning glass object cylinder is oil-filled and contains dichroic (color shifting) glass slices, assorted glass beads, twisted wire, and lampwork glass bits. The body houses a modified 2-mirror, 5-point system which creates sharp, brilliant "mandala-style" kaleidoscopic imagery framed in a reflective textured ten-sided (decagon) tunnel. Measures approximately 7.75"L x 2.75"T x 2.5"W at the cylinder end. Titled ('Blue Moon'), dated (2025) and signed (Sue Rioux) by the artist.
