Product Details
"Christali" is a shimmery handheld kaleidoscope by American artist Sue Rioux. The body was created with highly textured, silver/glitter glass panels, clear glass decorative rods, and an iridescent glass pebble accent on top. There is a spinning object drum, created with pieces of dichroic (color shifting) glass, glass pebbles with differing surface textures, and even a faceted glass gem, assembled together with carefully fancy copped solder. This scope is a 3-mirror 5-pointed system and measures approximately 9"L x 3.25"T x 1.5"W, and is titled (Christali), dated (2026), and signed (Sue Rioux) by the artist.
FUN: The last three internal photos show the effect of moving the direction of the light source instead of the object drum. As you can see, the image changes in a very cool way due to the Dichroic elements in the glass pieces.
NOTE: Each of Sue's kaleidoscopes are carefully handmade and sheets of stained glass are unique by design, therefore variations in the colors & swirls can be expected, photos are an example the glass used and may not exactly match the scope you receive.
