'Christmas Tree' is a spectacularly festive, special edition (1/1), musical, DOUBLE parlor kaleidoscope by Italian artist Massimo Strino. This sculptural work features a large central Christmas tree that is studded with crystals with many colorful ornaments, Teddy Bears and ribbons, and is surrounded by snow skiers, skaters, sledding people, gifts, a dog walker and even a snowman. There are two antiqued brass kaleidoscopes, each housing it's own differing 3-mirror system. When the large tree is wound, an internal music box, plays "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" as it slowly rotates for your scoping pleasure. The round base on which the tree stands is also a freely turning lazy-Susan, used to rotate the tree by hand instead of using the mechanical element. Each kaleidoscope has it's own crystal encrusted LED mini-flashlight, use them to illuminate the figures and you'll be treated to an absolutely magnificent show. The base is made of wood, is covered in velvety cloth, and is framed in gold. Entire piece measures approximately 21.75"L x 12"W x 14"T. Titled ('Christmas Tree S.E.'), numbered (1/1), dated (2015), and signed (Massimo) by the artist.
