Product Details
'CordaLee' is a sleek, superbly designed, parlor/handheld combination kaleidoscope by American artist Henry Bergeson. The body was beautifully handcrafted in hardwood and houses an exceptional 3-mirror system. This piece can be used as a parlor or a handheld scope simply by lifting the body off of the cradle stand, as seen in photos. There are THREE interchangeable, turning, oil-filled, glass object cylinders of varying color themes, that are held into place by magnetization. This sculptural scope is equipped with an internal, battery operated (AAA x3), light source with an automatic "off" timer, simply push the little button on top of the body and the light will switch on. The battery compartment can be found on the underside of the scope with a magnetically held door. The kaleidoscopic imagery 'CordaLee' creates is absolutely magnificent and shimmery, with each cell making it's own gorgeous designs. Entire piece measures approximately 18"T x 16"D x 7.5"W at the base, the body itself is about 15.5"L x 4.5"W x 1.25"H at the eyepiece, and the object cylinders are just under 3.5"L x 1.5"Diameter. Battery door has been dated (10/20/25), numbered (#519), and initialed (HTB) by the artist.
Note: This customer favorite kaleidoscope was named after legendary kaleidoscope creator Corki Weeks, as Cordalee is her actual first name.
