Product Details
"Daffodil of Peggy's Garden" is a VINTAGE - 1995 (30+ years old!) handheld kaleidoscope, part of the "Flower Series" by American artists Peggy and Steve Kittelson. The body was created from slumped white glass and features beautiful, multi-layered, fused glass Daffodil on the front side. This scope is a 2-mirror, 6-point system, which produces a classic "mandala-style" kaleidoscopic image that looks like an ever blooming flower. There is a turning, side-lit, black background, oil-filled object cell containing Peggy's gorgeous handmade lampwork glass pieces and some are little flowers! Measures approximately 10.5"L x 2.25" in diameter and comes with custom made wooden base. Piece is titled (Daffodil of Peggy's Garden), numbered (#9 of 25), dated (1995), and signed (Peggy Burnside & Steve Kittelson) by the artists.
Note: This rare vintage kaleidoscope was created before the Kittelson's were married, and considering it's age, it is truly a gem to behold.
