'Dragonfly' is an illusionary parlor kaleidoscope by British artist Marc Tickle. A fully functional kaleidoscope is hidden within the external view of a "hovering" glass dragonfly in what appears to be a transparent and empty glass tube. This scope has an oil-filled, turning object cylinder containing handmade glasswork pieces, assorted beads, twisted wires and other sparkly goodies. Also featured is Marc's hand painted beetles inside each end of the dragonfly's clear glass chamber. This is a 2-mirror system that produces beautiful 5-pointed mandala-style kaleidoscopic imagery. The body, including the object chamber, is approximately 10"L x 2" in diameter at the viewing end, and the entire piece stands at about 11" tall.
