'Fairy Dust' is a mystical, UV blacklight reactive, handheld kaleidoscope by Japanese artist MIKIO! This scope features hand painted alcohol-ink art in vivid swirling colors on holographic art paper, which is protected beneath the clear acrylic body. Magical brightly colored "genuine" fairy dust, complete with glitter stars and butterflies, freely moves beneath the outer body shell. The body houses a 3-mirror system with a side lit, non-turning, oil-filled object cell containing handmade lamp-worked glass pieces, assorted beads, tiny silk leaves, miniature flowers, neon netting bits, and other interesting, sparkly items, and has a black background. This fanciful scope makes absolutely gorgeous, utterly delightful, "full-view" kaleidoscopic imagery. Measures approximately 5.5"L x 1.5"Diameter and is signed on the cell end by the artist.
Note: Each of MIKIO's scope's outer designs are lovingly hand painted with alcohol ink and therefore each is completely one of a kind so variations in the body design can be expected. The interior and exterior of her scopes are designed to compliment and contrast each other, plus there is an interesting amount of experimental variation in the mirror systems of each unique piece.
