'Ghost Party' is a spirited handheld kaleidoscope by Japanese artist MIKIO! This scope features hand painted art, in swirling, glittery, blackish/blue alcohol ink on holographic-shimmer art paper, protected beneath the clear acrylic tubular body and has adorable, spoopy, NEON acrylic ghosts adorning the outer body. The interior is a uniquely manipulated 3-mirror, 7-point system (that's also black light reactive) which spookily creates eerie, dreamy "full-view" kaleidoscopic imagery. There is a non-turning, front and side lit, DOUBLE CHAMBER object cell, one chamber is dry, the other is oil-filled. Each section of the cell contains an assortment of birefringent (color shifting) bits, acrylic pieces and shards, handmade lampwork glass twisty bits, tiny beads, a pumpkin bead, and other interesting and UV reactive items. Scope measures approximately 5.5"L x 1.5" in diameter. Marked by the artist on the cell end.
There are a few internal images in a row that show how different lighting effects the imagery without even turning the scope. Some of these images were shot with regular LED Light and some were shot using UV Black Light. Use this scope under natural Sunlight too, any change in lighting will effect the internal images created, have fun experimenting!
Note: Each of MIKIO's scope's outer designs are lovingly hand made and therefore each is completely one of a kind. The interior and exterior of her scopes are designed to compliment and contrast each other, plus there is an interesting amount of experimental variation in the mirror systems of each unique piece that she creates.
