'Hana' is a lovely handheld kaleidoscope created by Japanese artist duo, Takeo & Yoshiko Matsumoto. The body was created from matte yet shimmery, iridescent, highly textured, purply/green glass which houses a 3-mirror, 11-point system. There is a smooth turning, side lit, oil-filled, black backgrounded object cell containing delicately handmade, lamp-worked glass pieces and dichroic (color shifting) glass bits. "花" translates from Japanese to "flower" in English, and the images created inside do not disappoint with flowery and spectacular kaleidoscopic imagery. Scope measures approximately 6.25"L x 1.5"Diameter at the cell end.
