'Haruka' is a beautiful handheld kaleidoscope by Japanese artist Hiroaki Kaneko. The body was constructed with 8 glass panels in a shimmering holographic silver and it houses a 3-mirror, 6-point system. There is a non-turning, side lit, fluid-filled, black backgrounded, 8-sided glass object chamber which contains handmade lamp-worked glass pieces, dichroic (color-shifting) glass pieces, and tiny faceted metal beads. This scope produces utterly dazzling "full-view" kaleidoscopic imagery to delight anyone peeking inside. Note: Moving a light source around the object end will change the design colors inside without even having to turn the scope, very fun to experiment with. Measures approximately 8"L x 1.75"W at the object end, and 1.5"W at the viewing end. Signed (H. Kaneko) by the artist.
