"Iris of Peggy's Garden" is a VINTAGE 1995 (30+ years old) handheld kaleidoscope, part of the "Flower Series" by American artists Peggy and Steve Kittelson. The body was created from slumped white glass and features beautiful, multi-layered, fused glass Iris' on the front side. This scope is a CHORUS LINE mirror system, which produces a unique rectangular kaleidoscopic image that looks like a row of ever changing flowers. There is a turning, side-lit, black background, oil-filled object cell containing Peggy's gorgeous handmade lampwork glass pieces and some are little flowers! Measures approximately 10.5"L x 2.5" in diameter and comes with wooden base. Piece is titled (Iris of Peggy's Garden), numbered (#16 of 25), dated (1995), and signed (Peggy Burnside & Steve Kittelson) by the artists.
Note: This rare vintage kaleidoscope was created before the Kittelson's were married, and considering it's age, it literally looks like it was just made ... completely spectacular.
