"Misora" is a lovely handheld kaleidoscope by Japanese artist Chitoshi Takabayashi. The elegant scope body is made from solid rich hardwood with a smoothly turning, oil-filled, side and end lit, acrylic object cell with a textured, soft blue, translucent background. The cell contains handmade lampwork glass pieces in creamy whites and subtle pastels, and tiny dichroic (color shifting) glass bits. This scope houses a 2-mirror, 7-point system and measures approximately 8.25"L x 2.5"Diameter at the cell end. Small custom wood and suede stand is included. Signed (Takabayashi) and dated (2025) by the artist.
