"Misora" is a wonderful, carved wood, handheld kaleidoscope by Japanese artist Chitoshi Takabayashi. The scope body is solid wood with a turning, oil-filled, side-lit and end-lit, frosted acrylic background, object cell that contains handmade, lampworked glass in creams and whites with a subtle touch of blue. This scope has a 3-mirror, 7-point system, measures approximately 8-1/4"L x 3" in diameter, and includes the small wood stand, as pictured. Signed and dated (2023) by the artist.
