'Neon Lotus' is a dreamy handheld kaleidoscope by Japanese artist MIKIO! This scope features hand painted art, in swirling, soft pastel, alcohol ink colors on holographic-glitter art paper, protected beneath the clear acrylic tubular body, and has a darling clear acrylic flower surrounding the object cell. The interior is a uniquely manipulated 2-mirror, 8-point system that's iridescent, textured, and wonderfully frames the "mandala-style" kaleidoscopic image it creates. There is a non-turning, oil-filled, front and side lit object cell containing an assortment of birefringent (color shifting) acrylic pieces and shards, handmade lampwork glass twisty bits, tiny beads, and other interesting items in delicate colors, plus there is a pretty iridescent mandala cell topper. The first set of 10 internal images were shot with regular LED Light, the second set of 10 were shot using UV Black Light. Use this scope under natural Sunlight too, any change in lighting will effect the internal images created, have fun experimenting! Scope measures approximately 5.75"L x 1.25" in diameter. Note: Each of MIKIO's scope's outer designs are lovingly hand painted with alcohol ink and therefore each is completely one of a kind. The interior and exterior of her scopes are designed to compliment and contrast each other, plus there is an interesting amount of experimental variation in the mirror systems of each unique piece.
