"On the Earth" is a stunning parlor kaleidoscope collaboration piece by Chitoshi Takabayashi and Tomoo Hosono. The wooden body of the scope is Ebony and the base is Chinese Quince. This scope has a 3-mirror system and a turning end, oil-filled, end-lit object cell. This scope creates amazing, beautifully flowing, colorful imagery. Measures approximately 10-1/2"T x 8-3/8"L and 5" in diameter at the base, and comes with the free-standing lightsource shown in listing photos. Signed (TOWK), titled (On the Earth) and dated (2023).
