"Praire Song" is a limited edition parlor kaleidoscope by Steve and Peggy Kittelson. There is a turning end, side-lit, oil-filled object cell which contains flame-sculpted dichroic glass and lampworked glass pieces, with a black background. Scope is a 2-mirror, 6 point system. The barrel is black glass with a geometric herringbome design running down it's center. The complex pattern of the exterior was created by cutting individual pieces of glass, fusing them in stages, then bending the entire piece to form the shape of the body. Scope sits on a comtemporary pedestal of solid Walnut wood. Piece measures approximately 11-1/2"T x 11-1/4"L x 4-1/4"W at the base. The scope itself is 2-3/4" diameter and 11-1/2"L.
