'Pulsar' is an eye-catching parlor kaleidoscope by British artist and master scope creator, Marc Tickle. The body features hand painted abstract art in stunning, shimmery, alcohol ink, which lies beneath the scope's 4-sided glass body and base, in a vibrant rainbow of colors. This is a uniquely altered 4-mirror system with a smooth turning, oil-filled, top and side lit, black backgrounded, glass object chamber containing Marc's own handmade lampwork glass pieces, dichroic glass bits, Millefiori pieces, and beads. The internal kaleidoscopic imagery shows an incredibly crisp display of double spherical explosion that will delight anyone gazing inside. Entire piece measures approximately 13"T x 12.5"L x 3"W at the base, object cell is 2.75" Diameter.
From the artist: "If a star was a sphere of kaleidoscopic energy, filled with happiness, color and love to the point of bursting it could be mistaken for the image you will see in 'Pulsar'. This 4-mirror combo of tapered and rectangular reflectors culminates in a cascading crescendo of color erupting from both sides of the sphere.
