'Quartz Crystal Cluster' is a stunning parlor kaleidoscope by American artist Steve Failows. The kaleidoscope body is ceramic with a spotted satiny-matte glaze in grays over white, complimenting the spiky, sparkly, naturally grown, Crystal Quartz cluster base. The scope rotates 360° over the Crystal cluster and is easily removable simply by lifting it up and off of the base itself. Everything is finished with extra fancy soldering and the underside of the base has a black felt covering. This scope has double, spinning, textured, colorfully painted, stained glass object wheels, and features a larger than usual viewing port which allows for easy enjoyment of the tapered 3-mirror system, which creates spectacular, spherical 3-D kaleidoscopic imagery. The actual scope itself is measures approximately 12"L x 5.5" at the viewing end. Entire piece is approximately 15.75"T and 9.5"W x 6.5"Deep at the base.
