'Radiance' is a cool little handheld kaleidoscope with a rustic vibe by Japanese artist Chitoshi Takabayashi. The body was constructed from very old naturally resourced wood, into a hexagonal (six-sided) shape, with 3 of the alternating panels polished smooth and 3 left rough. The body houses a 2-mirror, 7-point system with a 14-point frame. There is a turning, oil-filled, side & front lit, brown translucent backgrounded object cell containing teeny, delicately handmade glasswork pieces in rich earthy colors which create absolutely stunning "mandala-style" kaleidoscopic imagery. Measures approximately 4"L x 1.5" Diameter. Signed (Towk) and dated by the artist.
