'Rosette' is a beautiful handheld kaleidoscope by Japanese artist Hiroaki Kaneko. The body was constructed with 8 glass panels in a mirror-like deep red, and it houses a 3-mirror, 10-point system. There is an 8-sided glass object chamber, non-turning, side lit, fluid filled, containing handmade lamp-worked glass pieces in rich warm colors, and dichroic (color-shifting) glass pieces. This is a large scope, about the length of a forearm, very satisfying to hold as you view the absolutely glorious "full-view" kaleidoscopic imagery it creates. Note: Moving a light source around the object end will change the design colors inside without even having to turn the scope, very fun to experiment with. Measures approximately 7.5"L x 2.5"W at the object end, and 2"W at the viewing end. Signed (H. Kaneko) by the artist.
