'Snowy Crystal' is a cool handheld kaleidoscope by Japanese artists, Yoshiaki & Keiko Onodera of K*Glass - Kaleidoscope. The smooth cylindrical body is a glass tube that is hand painted on the inside in shimmery, swirly, ice BLUE alcohol inks. This is a delightful 2-mirror, 6-point system with a non-turning, oil-filled, side lit, black backgrounded object cell containing delicate, tiny, icicle-like glass pieces, chipped icy glass bits, a plethora of itty bitty faceted gemstones and other delights, in cool winter hues. Together these elements create absolutely gorgeous "mandala-style" kaleidoscopic imagery, to keep you cool on hot Summer nights. This scope is UV Black Light reactive, shine a black-light flashlight into the object cell and the imagery produced will be altered with glowing pieces in the frozen designs. NOTE: A UV flashlight was used in some of the photos in this listing to show the before (LED light) and after (UV light) effects on the same internal image. Measures approximately 6"L x 1.25"Diameter. Scope arrives in a lovely custom box with information leaflets and a little wooden resting cradle. Signed (K*Glass) by the artists.
