"Solitude" is a classic parlor kaleidoscope by artist Jeffery Ray Wear. The scope body is chrome with brass accents and a wooden base. It has a dry, turning, object chamber that contains lampwork glass, dichroic glass pieces, beads, and has a textured, iridescent glass background. The middle brass knob on the scope stand allows for adjustments to the angle the kaleidoscope sets at. This is a 2-mirror, 6-point system that creates stunning, traditional, mandala-style kaleidoscopic imagery. Piece measures approximately 13"T x 10.5"L x 8"W at the base. The scope barrel is approximately 11"L x 3.5" in diameter. A fantastic collectors piece, scope has been titled (Solitude), numbered (2/25), signed (Jeffery Ray Wear) and dated (1996) by the artist.
